This Pitco SG14-2FD natural gas fryer has two fry tanks with a 50-pound capacity to cook products such as vegetables, meat, and other selections. Meant for heavy use, the front, sides, and tank are made of stainless steel for corrosion resistance in addition to durability. The 11/4-inch full-port drain fluidly removes any oil to the receiving receptacle below, and the unit comes with a drain line clean-out rod for precision. Because it sits on 6-inch casters, this unit is ideal for most floor plans.
This fryer is part of the Solstice™ series, meaning it doesn’t require a blower or ceramics to heat the oil and instead uses tubes. The millivolt thermostat is adjustable between 200 and 400 degrees Fahrenheit to cook products to completeness. The thermo-safety pilot keeps running conditions optimal, and the high-temperature switch is another safety precaution. With the manual gas shutoffs, this fryer is simple to service from the front. The flue deflector ensures exhausted fumes are not clogged.
The Pitco SG14-2FD gas fryer’s filter drawer system has a welded, heavy-duty pan. This pan has a wide media area and fits a filter envelope that measures 201/2 inches by 181/2 inches. The effective motor and pump assembly enable fast turnaround times, and it comes with the following items: filter powder, cleaning brush, fryer scoop, and filter scoop.
